Out of boredom, 8 rit team
Whether or not this new or old I was bored and entertained myself by trying to come up with an all rit team build. Feedback and constructive criticism is always nice. This hasn't been tested at all. Pretty much just a concept.
disclaimer: Anywhere that I put boon of creation, if you wish to spread points a bit and add to channeling for spirit siphon it may be better. as stated, this isn't tested.
Detructive Rit x2 (rt/any):
Attributes:
channeling - 12 + 1 + Rune of choice
rest dependent on optionals/secondary taken
Skills:
Destructive was glaive [E]
Ancestor's Rage
Renewing Surge
Spirit Siphon
4 optional
Equipment:
Insignias: Herald's/Survivor
Runes: Major/Sup Vigor, vitae, Channeling rune of choice (I prefer superior)
Weapons:
Not a huge deal as you will be holding ashes of glaive. 40/40 channeling set, 20/40/+30 channeling staff, defensive +60 hp weapon + shield set, if you want them.
Usage:
Cast DwG, use AR on spirits with mobs near them, spam renewing surge, siphon spirit as needed. When DwG is recharged carefully get close enough without aggroing to recast (forcing the drop and dealing its aoe dmg), retreat to safety. Repeat as needed.
Channeling Spirit Rit (rt/any):
Attributes:
Channeling - 12 + 1 + 3
Spawning - 11 + 1
Communing - 6
Skills:
Signet of Spirits [E]
Bloodsong
Vampirism
Painful Bond
Boon of Creation
Summon Spirits
Armor of Unfeeling
optional
Equipment:
Insignias: Shaman's/Survivor
Runes: Major/Sup Vigor, Superior Channeling, Minor Spawning, Vitae
Weapons:
40/40 channeling set, or choice channeling staff
Usage:
Keep Boon of Creation and your spirits up in wall like formation to body block and keep AoU on them. Cast Painful bond for added dmg. Summon Spirits for mobility if needed (summon with cuation and thought to not cause death)
Offensive Communing Rit 1 (rt/any):
Attributes:
Communing - 12 + 1 +3
Spawning - 12 + 1
Skills:
Signet of Ghostly Might [E]
Anguish
Pain
Shadowsong
Armor of Unfeeling
Boon of Creation
Summon Spirits
optional
Equipment:
Insignias - Shaman's/Survivor
Runes: Major/Sup Vigor, Superior Communing, Minor Spawning, Vitae
Weapons:
40/40 communing set or choice of communing staff.
Usage:
Keep boon and your spirits up. Use signet on recharge while your spirits are up. Summon spirits for mobility (summon with caution as mentioned)
Offensive Communing Rit 2 (rt/any):
Attributes:
Communing - 12 + 1 + 3
Spawning - 12 + 1
Skills:
Wanderlust [E]
Dissonance
Disenchantment
Armor of Unfeeling
Boon of Creation
3 optional
Equipment:
Insignias - Shaman's/Survivor/Radiant (if u feel need for more energy)
Runes: Major/Sup Vigor, Superior Communing, Minor Spawning, Vitae
Weapons:
40/40 communing set or choice of communing staff.
Usage:
Keep boon and spirits up. And keep AoU on them.
Defensive Communing Rit (rt/any):
Attributes:
Communing - 12 + 1 + Rune of choice
Spawning - 12 + 1
Skills:
Reclaim essence [E]
Shelter
Union
Displacement
Summon Spirits
Vital Weapon
Boon of Creation
Optional
Equipment:
Insignias: Shaman's/Survivor/Radiant (energy intensive build)
Runes: Major/Sup Vigor, Superior Communing, Minor Spawning, Vitae, Attunement
Weapons:
40/40 communing set or choice of communing staff.
Usage:
Keep boon of creation up. Cast spirits, watch your spirits, if shelter/union are about to die, reclaim essence and recast your spirits. They are your teams damage reduction.
Resto Rit 1 (rt/):
Attributes:
Restoration - 12 + 1 + Rune of choice
Spawning - 9 + 1
Skills:
Ritual Lord [E]
Life
Rejuvenation
Mend Body and Soul
Spirit Light
Spirit's Gift
Protective was Kaolai
optional/Flesh of My Flesh
Equipment:
Insignia's: Survivor/Radiant
Runes: Major/Sup Vigor. min/maj/sup restoration, vitae/attunement. minor spawning.
Weapons:
40/40 resto set or resto staff of choice, Will be holding ashes of kaolai for the most part anyway.
Usage:
Heal. Remove conditions, with spirit's gift + a summon or mend body and soul. Use rit lord so rejuv and life recharge faster. PwK for a bit of partywide healing. Should really only have to watch the Destro Rits. As everyone else should always be behind spirit walls.
Resto Rit 2 (rt/):
Attributes:
Restoration - 12 + 1 + Rune of choice
Spawning - 9 + 1
Skills:
Xinrae's Weapon [E]
Weapon of Warding
Recuperation
Protective Was Kaolai
Soothing Memories
Spirit Transfer
Flesh of My Flesh
optional
Equipment:
Insignia's: Survivor/Radiant
Runes: Major/Sup Vigor. min/maj/sup restoration, vitae/attunement. minor spawning.
Weapons:
40/40 resto set or resto staff of choice, Will be holding ashes of kaolai for the most part anyway.
Usage:
Very Similar to resto rit 1, except you also have some spike prevention with Xinrae's. Weapon of warding with recuperation will help against degen.
Overall it does lack hex removal. However quite a bit of room for adding it on several of the builds.

Looks nice, all you basically did was put all the spirits onto the builds. Can't imagine seeing that many spirits.
Only problem is finding 8 rits to get together to actually do this that can go faster than Discordway or something else

Yes, because FASTER is the only reason. People could, oh, I don't know, want to do it for fun. Jeez.
Thanks for this, we're going to give it a whirl soon.

I've found spirit spamming surprisingly boring. I've tried solo rit in chamber and wastes. Looked like fun, worked great also, but by the time cleared half wastes of smites i just typed /resign.

It has 2 non-spirit builds in there too (3 if you don't count resto rit #2), Some people enjoy spirit spam others don't.
To Jensy and Marci, fun is what I aim for when I do stuff. Hope you enjoy it and have good results.

You don't have to focus only on spirits for damage. You could run some spirit's strength ritualists (2 scythes with greater dwarf weapon for example). Also don't waste rit lord for your elite on your healer. You can always run a secondary elite. Cautery signet could be used if you don't want a restoration elite.
Can even throw in a spirit's strength spear chucker for ranged damage. By using greater dwarf armor the al won't be an issue and you have a cheap cover enchant.
Generally there isn't much enchant removal and spirit's strength can run some pretty high damage. If your adding in greater dwarf weapon then you will also up your damage a fair amount and take less from the knockdowns. Could run a rit/mo with strength of honor if your gonna run with multiple melees.
I would probably take out offensive communion rit 2 and maybe if you want you could change out the destructive rits all for spirit's strength ritualists.
Could probably go with like 2 scythes and 1 spear (could bring the adrenaline deep wound to spam around). Or you could go with all 3 melee or all 3 ranged.
I just find every spirit up kind of a waste, since they most likely won't focus targeting and you'll take quite a bit of damage. Atleast if you run even just say 2 scythe spirit's strength rits you can have some form of "tank" while still being able to focus a lot of damage. Even without added support like strength of honor it still pumps out some good damage.
Most likely tossing a few beast mastery points (as long as your not against using secondaries at all) and bringing eoe for most places since your running summon spirits could help as well.

... or you could just keep the original build (with a few modifications due to changes made in the february update) and watch stuff blow up in 2 min.

I actually had some guildies come with me after the Rit buffs and try this. I think it was when Nick was in NF collecting Giant jawbones maybe? If I recall correctly we haad the following:
1) SoS/Channeling
2) Sogm/Communing
3) ST/Communing
4) Rit Hexor/Channeling
5) Resto Rit
6) DwG
7) Wanderlust/Communing
8) Weap/Resto Rit

Isn't Soul Twisting better than Reclaim Essence for a protective ritualist?

I'd prob run:
SoS
SoGM
ST
5x DWG
Depending what you're doing you might want some heals on the DWG's... Else with cons and a few heals on the first 3 chars, maybe some Protective was Kaolai on them you should be ok. 5x DWG can take out most things in a hurry...
